PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of a toner by detecting that toner storage containers are not set to toner receiving units for the toner storage containers provided at the end section of a rotating developing unit, and prohibiting the developing unit kept in the unset state from being rotated. CONSTITUTION:Fitting sections allowing toner storage containers 41, 42, 43, 44 to be fitted or removed are provided on toner receiving units 91Y, 91M, 91C, 110 for the toner storage containers 41, 42, 43, 44 provided at one end of a rotating developing unit 10, and toner receiving ports are formed at the fitting sections. This image forming device is provided with a device coupled with the developing unit 40 and a toner storage container unit 45 to prohibit the rotation when the set detecting device of each toner storage container and any toner storage container are kept at the unset state. |
