PURPOSE:To obtain a translated sentence for an object sentence by translating only sentences including previously registered keywords out of plural Japanese sentences. CONSTITUTION:This machine translation apparatus is provided with 'quick reading mode' for translating only sentences including specific keywords previously registered in a keyword table storing means 9 out of Japanese sentences inputted from an input means 2 and 'overall translation mode' for translating all input sentences in a certain unit, and when the 'quick reading mode' is selected by a translation mode specifying means 11, only sentences registered in the table 9 are translated by a translation module 5 and an operation main memory 6 as objects to be translated and a translated result is outputted by an output means 3, so that an object output can quickly be obtained. |
