PURPOSE:To provide a natural language processing system capable of sharply reducing a development cost for a data managing mechanism in the system and provided with a highly flexible data storing format. CONSTITUTION:When processing arrives at a grammar processing means through an input means and an editing means, the processing means refers to a phonetic directory and an ideographic directory and acquires a proper word data file. At the time, the time of a referred data file is updated. A data tile which is not referred to for a long time is erased by an erasing means or moved to the outside of a retrieving area. All instructions to be used for reference, time updating, erasing, movement, etc., are supplied from a computer system. Thus data retrieval can simply be executed and the reduction of retrieving speed due to the explosive increment of data volume can be suppressed. When execution instructions for demanding operation are prepared as word information, a robot control system capable of responding to natural language can be comparatively easily constructed. |
