<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a capsulated toner capable of surely holding a fixable material in capsule by shell and excellent in preservability, image quality and fixability by incorporating spherical magnetic particles into layers forming the shells. CONSTITUTION:In a capsulated toner consisting of a core material contg. a fixable component and shells, spherical magnetic particles are incorporated into layers forming the shells. The spherical magnetic particles are not conventional magnetic particles of an angular shape reflecting the crystal form but roundish particles. It is, however, not necessary that the particles are perfectly spherical and the ratio of the longest size to the shortest size is within the range of 1.0-1.5, preferably 1.0-1.3. The magnetic particles are made of magnetite, ferrite, a metal such as Co, Fe or Ni or an alloy of such metals. When spherical magnetite is produced by a wet method, nuclei are generated in large quantities and flocculated.</p> |
