PURPOSE: To provide a safe composite device for identifying the caller of a computer system. CONSTITUTION: Multimedia MODEM is used. Multimedia MODEM especially connects an analog channel and a data channel to the computer system 300. The analog channel transmits identification information of the caller 1 and the data channel transmits a data signal from the caller 1. The computer system 300 recognizes information of the caller, which is communicated through the analog channel. When recognition succeeds, data communication with the caller 1 is immediately established or continued through the data channel.
