PURPOSE:To dispense with the positioning of a camera or the adjustment of a magnification factor, etc., by generating a template picture to be a standard on the basis of a picture in which an object to be inspected is fetched. CONSTITUTION:The picture of the object to be inspected is fetched by the camera 7 connected to a control device 5, and is written on a memory 1 through a multiplexer 4, and the picture of the object to be inspected is obtained. On the other hand, a template picture storage memory 2 stores the ideal template picture of the object to be inspected, and the address information of the object is extracted from the picture of he object to be inspected written in the memory 1, and a CPU 3 develops this address information into a prescribed equation, and writes it on the template picture memory 2 at high speed by using a line plotting device 6 in conformity to an ideal address obtained by calculation. Thus, in the picture processing of a non-circular object, the picture processing can be executed in a short time, and besides, the positioning of the camera or the adjustment of the magnification factor, etc., are dispensed with, and correct pattern matching can be executed irrespective of the size or the shape of the fetched picture. |
