PURPOSE:To make an image forming device small in size and low in cost while improving image quality by forming a main body frame member so as to be used also as an optical frame and housing optical components constituting an exposure device in the optical frame part formed at the main body frame member. CONSTITUTION:The main body frame 15 is constituted of the main frame part 16, the optical frame part 17 and a housing case part 18. In the main frame part 16, a process unit 42 constituting an image forming transfer part 41, a transfer device, a fixing device 61, a paper feeding device, a paper sheet transporting means, a driving means 82, an engine control circuit board 92, a power source 95, etc., are respectively attached to the prescribed position. Then, the optical frame part 17 is formed by indenting the bottom surface of the main body frame 15, and the optical parts constituting the optical device 51 are attached to the optical frame part 17 corresponding to the each positioning reference. Moreover, the housing case part 18 is formed so as to cover the various kinds of components such as the main frame part 16 and the image forming transfer part 41 attached to the main frame part 16, and the movable cover is freely rotatably provided thereon.
