Fuel transfer unit for transferring fuel from fuel tank to IC engine in motor vehicle

The fuel transfer unit (1) enables fuel to be piped (7) to the engine from the transfer unit (1) which is installed in the tank (3) under a cover (11) from which a vertical rod (13) protrudes with a terminal ring (15) supporting one end of a helical spring (17). The other end is bonded to a fixing ring (21) around the top of the unit which carries terminals (37) for insulated wires (39) from feedthrough connectors (41) in the cover. Fuel is drawn through a filter (29) and pumped out through an elastic tube (33).
