Cookery utensil with small hotplate, handle and support for cooling

The small circular hotplate (1) is fixed to one end of an elbowed metallic tube (2) whose other end carries a handle (3) pref. of wood with an on/off switch controlling the supply of heating current through a flex (6) passing through the handle and tube. Below the elbow of the tube a sheet-metal plate (7) is provided with a crosspiece (8) on which the utensil can be stood with its hotplate uppermost and clear of the working surface (9).
