The structure consists of a series of hollow components, each big enough to receive an urn with ashes, and shaped so that they can be stacked one on top of another to form a column (7). Each hollow component is cubic or cylindrical in shape, with a covered aperture in its side wall for inserting an urn, the cover being wedged or sealed in place, or hinged to form a door. Each column is topped by a plant container with a central support (11) for a pergola (12). The columns can be set in a square, a straight line or a curve.
