PURPOSE:To enjoy the advantages of optical communication by utilizing an electric communication channel by providing a bidirectional electric signal line between a network terminal interface and a user terminal, selecting a broadcasting channel through the line, performing conversion to electric signals and performing supply to the user terminal. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with the optical broadcasting network access parts 161-16m of the network terminal interface where optical signals on which the broadcasting channel is multiplexed arrive from an optical communication network and the bidirectional electric signal line is provided between them and the remote reception terminals 2111-21mn of the user terminal. The access parts 161-16m are provided with control signal receivers 1911-19mn and selection control circuits 2011-20mn as means for selecting the broadcasting channel specified by selection control information supplied through the electric signal line, communication channel selection circuits 1711-17mn for converting the optical signals to the electric signals, information signal transmitters 1811-18mn for supplying the electric signals to the remote reception terminals 2111-21mn and information signal receivers 2211-22mn. |
