<p>PURPOSE:To enable remote input by detecting the coordinates that an input indicating mechanism with plural ultrasonic wave transmission parts indicates on the plane where ultrasonic wave reception parts are arranged from the spatial directions of the input indicating mechanism which are calculated by the ultrasonic wave reception parts. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic-wave-A reception parts 201, 202, 203, and 204 are arranged on the plane at intervals L or (1). From time differences between the reference point of time when an ultrasonic wave A is detected for the 1st time and the points of time when the ultrasonic wave A is detected by other three ultrasonic-wave-A reception parts, the spatial coordinates (x1, y1, z1) of an ultrasonic wave transmission part are found and then the spatial coordinates (x2, y2, z2) of an ultrasonic-wave-B transmission part 102 are similarly found. Once the two spatial coordinates of the input indicating mechanism 1 are found, the spatial direction that the two coordinates indicate and the coordinates of the intersection of the spatial direction and the x-y plane where the ultrasonic wave reception parts are arranged can easily be found. Consequently, the remote input operation which is large in degree of freedom is enabled.</p> |
