PURPOSE: To provide as a light camera as possible in a bi-directional data transmission system operating through a channel 3 having stable and gradually changing characteristics. CONSTITUTION: Transmitting and receiving means 1 and 2 equipped with data sources 11 and 21, modulating/demodulating means 12 and 13 : 22 and 23, and data processing means 16 and 24-26 are arrayed at each part of a channel. The equalization of a signal at one edge part of the channel is replaced with pre-emphasis operated at the other edge part before signal transmission instead of the equalization of a signal at each edge part of the channel. Thus, the materials of the edge part at which the equalization is not operated can be made further light. This system is used for a cable connected through a cable with a central unit. |
