PURPOSE: To provide a display device which is provided with a display screen having a antistatic and light absorption coating which has an uniform and sufficient optical characteristic and its tightly adhered on a glass display screen. CONSTITUTION: A display screen 3 of a cathode-ray tube 1 is provided with a static electricity prevention and light absorption coating 8 which consists of an ATO (Sb:SnO2 ) particles and polypyrrole particles. The coating 8 is provided with an additional layer of a silicon dioxide to obtain antireflective functions and antibrightness functions.
