PURPOSE: To prevent the shift-down resulting in inadmissible engine speed by forming a control device of an automatic shift device with a device for checking a position of a manual selecting member, a device for generating a reference signal, a device for checking the reference signal, a storing means, a calculating means and a switching means, and connecting their input and output ends. CONSTITUTION: An electronic control device for a gear-change transmission which inputs a signal from a manual selecting lever and controls a shift device, generates an output signal for new gear to be shifted. The electronic control device checks whether a position of the manual selecting lever is corresponded to a gear lower than an actual gear or not by means of a device 15, generates a reference signal corresponding to the position or corresponding to the actual gear by means of a device 16, checks whether the reference signal is lower than the actual speed or not by means of a device 17, and inputs the same to a switching means 20. A new shift signal is output from a shift means 21 through a storing means 18 including an automatic transmission diagram and a calculating means 19 for checking an engine speed corresponding to a new speed to be shifted, to prevent the inadequate shift-down. |
