The invention concerns a medicament containing a combination of a derivative of p-oxybenzoic acid of the general formula (I), wherein R<1> represents hydrogen or a straight-chain or branched C1-C4 alkyl group, n = 1, 2, X represents -CH(OH)-, -CO-, and R<2> represents -OH, -NHCH2COOH, or a physiologically compatible salt thereof, and a fibrate, as well as usual standard carrier substances, auxiliaries and/or additives. A preparation of this type is suitable for the treatment of combined hyperlipidemia. The invention also concerns a process for producing the disclosed medicament.
