Tilt rotor vertical take off aircraft

The fuselage (1) has a power source (5) which powers two contra-rotating rotor assemblies (7,8) fitted at opposite ends of the longitudinal centreline of the fuselage. A lift-producing main plane (2) is fitted under the belly of the fuselage. Each rotor mast (19,20) can tilt around an axis (17,18) allowing a transition from vertical to forward flight. The forward rotor tilts forwards and down while the rear rotor tilts backwards and moves up so that the masts are parallel with the longitudinal axis.
