Binding for ski=boots

The binding engages sole protrusions at the toe and heel. Two clamping halves (2,3) containing hemispherical recesses (2a,3a) each fit halfway round the part-spherical portion (1b) of the mounting plate (1), and are pressed against it at right angles to the binding centre-line (A - A) and between the fixing devices (4,5), fitting in cylindrical holes (9) in the halves. This forms a steplessly-adjustable friction joint defining the binding angle about the central axis (10) of the mounting and which is at right angles to the mounting surface. Thus the clamping halves can tilt on the mounting plate in the lengthways and sideways directions.
