Variable barrier element for roof framework of house

The barrier element has an outer part consisting of an endless tubular foil (1). On installation the foil is cut into lengths to enclose the barrier mat (2) forming the inner part of the barrier element. The foil is sufficiently large to allow for different mat widths between the rafters (NW1, NW2, NW3). The foil is also of sufficient length to permit the formation of two edges running parallel to the longitudinal axis and enabling the barrier element to be secured to the rafters.
