Simple mechanical system for handling car parking charges

The car parking charge system has a rectangular box section stand that is inset into the ground alongside the parking area. The top of the stand has a clear glass window (5) and located immediately beneath this are entry slots (4) for coins. A further horizontal slit on one side is provided for the insertion of a parking ticket and the time details are visible. This allows both details and coins entered as the tariff to be compared. The parking ticket has vehicle registration details printed on it. At a lower section within the stand is a lock controlled flap (6) that may be released to remove the coins.
