<p>Nucleotide fragments from caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus (CAEV) env gene, corresponding peptide fragments, and uses thereof in screening for viral caprine arthritis-encephalitis, are disclosed. Antibodies to peptide fragments and uses thereof for diagnosing viral arthritis-encephalitis are also disclosed. Said nucleic acid fragments code for a peptide fragment including at least one CAEV Env protein segment comprising at least one immunodominant epitope selected from the transmembrane region of said protein, and include 15-255 nucleotides.</p> |
