The brake fitting consists of at least one front wheel brake and one rear wheel brake, at least one brake grip (1) and Bowden cables (5a, 5b) fixed at one end to a brake grip and at the other to a wheel brake. At least one brake grip is connected to both Bowden cables, of which one is in contact with the front wheel brake and the other with the rear wheel brake. The two Bowden cables are fixed to the brake grip in an offset manner, and their lengths are such that when the brake grip is operated the rear brake is applied first. The cable for the front wheel brake may be further from the turning axis of the brake grip than the other cable.
