A filter for high viscosity fluids which can readily remove foreign matters on a support layer and have the endmost layer directly washed, a method of efficiently manufacturing a refined polymer by means of the filter, and a method of molding the refined polymer to manufacture moldings. The filter comprises a housing (60) having therein a cavity, a first perforated plate (25) of rigidity for partitioning a first chamber in the cavity, a second perforated plate (26) of rigidity for partitioning a second chamber in the cavity, a first filter (30) joined to the first perforated plate at a region facing the second chamber, a second filter (30) joined to the second perforated plate at a region facing the first chamber, a support layer (40) interposed between the first filter and the second filter, an introduction port (63) provided on the housing and communicating to the first and second chambers, and a discharge port (65) communicating to the cavity at the support layer.
