The torque transferring assembly has a housing containing an input shaft and a sprocket shaft, as well as means providing a driving connection between these two shafts. A telescoping constant velocity joint is located in the housing, and an output shaft with a longitudinal central axis. The constant velocity joint is coupled to the sprocket and the output shaft, in order to transfer torque from the sprockets shaft to the output shaft. The joint enables translatory movement of the output shaft relative to the sprocket shaft.
