<p>The pastry box is formed from a cut-out cardboard blank having a bottom edge with pivoted flaps which are lifted to enclose the contents. Each flap has a base and a tongue. Each base is edged on a part of its length and on one of its sides by a reinforcing band connected to the base by a folding line. The stiffening band (200H) extends on a part of the base length (200A) and extends from the base onto the tongue (200B). After folding onto the base and onto the tongue the band end is fixed to the tongue. When the tongue is raised from the base plane the dihedral formed by the base and the stiffening band opens. The end part of the stiffening band fixed to the tongue is separated from the rest of the band by a folding line. <IMAGE></p>
