A cold/hot/storage used as a thermostat box, a refrigerator for home use, a refrigerator, etc., and a method of production thereof. The storage is characterized by including an insulating container, in which at least one kind of a gas having a low heat transfer coefficient and selected from the group consisting of xenon, krypton and argon is sealed in a gap between walls of a double-wall container comprising an inner container and an outer container. <MATH>
