Prepn. of bitumen-compatible synthetic cpds., comprises continuously reactive compounding 20 - 50 mass % rubber, 20 - 60 mass % polyolefins and 20 - 65 mass % bitumens at 270 - 450 deg C in the presence of 0.5 - 5 mass % modifying agents. Also claimed are prepn. of (i) polymeric bitumens which are stable during hot storage, contg. 3 - 25 mass % of the cpds., and (ii) road asphalt contg.. 0.1 - 1.2 mass % of the cpds..
