PURPOSE:To prevent the relative slide of a fitting surface by keeping the fitting surface between a load ring and a sealing main body in the perfectly closely attached state and keeping the closely attached position relation same in the wide range from an unloaded state to a loaded state. CONSTITUTION:A belt seal 19 is equipped with a load ring 21 which has a nearly drum-shaped section and deforms by the simultaneous action of compression and shearing reaction force, axial direction flange part 22 onto which a supporting ring 24 which has a nearly L-shaped upper surface and large rigidity is fitted, and a radial direction flange part 23, and the relative slide between a sealing main body 20 and the load ring 21 is prevented by forming a curved surface 25 fitted with the load ring 22 and a conical surface 26 extended from the curved surface 25 on the shoulders of the both flange parts 22 and 23 and forming a pointed sealing lip 28 on the front surface of the radial direction flange part 23. Further, the joint position of the both members is kept constant over the wide range from an unloaded position to an loaded position, and when the conical surface 26 is pressed by the deformation behavior of the load ring 21, the actually effective stroke of the seal is prolonged by pressing the sealing main body 20 horizontally in the thrust direction. Thus, the sealing life can be prolonged drastically. |
