Process of measuring the integral mass humidity in two phase currents

The moisture content measurement process is based on the fact that the duration and range of positrons emitted into a two-phase mixture depends on the density of the surrounding media. Inside the guide tube (1) in which the stream for investigation is found, a positron source (2) is fixed. Its holder (3) acts as a collimator for the positrons. A pair of movable detectors (4) mounted opposite one another outside the tube register gamma rays (5,6) arising from the annihilation of the positrons in the stream and measure the distance of the points of annihilation from the positron source to determine the moisture content of the mass.
