PURPOSE:To provide an aqueous type discharge machining liquid, which has a nature near the mineral oil type processing liquid and is equipped with a less degree of bad smelling, by mixing two types of polyethers expressed with specific equations and water and multi-value alcohol in a certain mix proportion, and thereby overcoming the defects of aqueous type fire retardant discharge machining liquid. CONSTITUTION:Polyether consisting of 0-90wt.% polyether of type 1 as expressed by formula I (R1 is alkyl radical of C5-C11 either in straight chain or divergent, wherein n is integer from 1 to 4) and 100-10wt.% polyether of type 2 as expressed by formula II (R2 is alkyl radical of C5-C12 either in straight chain or divergent, wherein m is integer from 1 to 3) is together with water mixed, in 30-70wt.% each to the whole mixture of discharge machining liquid, with multi-value alcohol in 40wt.% or below. This discharge machining liquid causes less exhaustion of electrode, improves the finish processing performance, and exhibits a nature near a mineral type processing liquid. Further it gives less ill smell. |
