PURPOSE:To increase the operating efficiency of a compressor by carrying out the connection and disconnection of a load which meets the actual condition of motor load even under a condition where power supply voltage is low and changeable due to the resistance of a power cord or the like. CONSTITUTION:Power supply voltage VP applied to a capacitor induction motor M is compared with capacitor terminal-to-terminal voltage VC generated between the terminals of a capacitor used in the capacitor induction motor M. Based on judgment that its rate K=VC/VP is larger or smaller than reference rate KT set under a fixed condition, a solenoid valve B is switched to its energizing side or de-energizing side.
