OPTICAL WRITING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To provide an optical writing apparatus in which a linear density gradation can be realized without necessity of a special circuit. CONSTITUTION:The optical writing apparatus is so formed as to simultaneously scan a plurality of electron beams in the width direction of a photosensitive member by dividing the photosensitive member width direction 13 of a fluorescent layer 10 into sections corresponding to the number of the beams so that a plurality of light emitting dots of the respective beams are differentiated at any of the areas, emitting light wavelengths and light emitting efficiency from those of the adjacent dots and to impinge the beams to the desired dot of the direction 13 by a deflecting electrode 7 as deflecting angle control means and deflecting angle control circuit 8, thereby realizing a linear gradation.
