PURPOSE:To provide a soilless culture device capable of automatically providing a fixed amount of liquid fertilizer without using especially a floating bed. CONSTITUTION:A hollow cylinder 1 is rotatably and detachably supported around shafts 9A and 9B extending in the direction in which a gas 1A formed on the outer peripheral surface of the hollow cylinder l is lengthened. The gap 1A is horizontally connected to an absorbing sheet 4 laid on a container 3 for growing a plant in parallel with the gap A and the hollow cylinder 1 by plural detachable capillaries 5A to 5F. One end each of the capillaries 5A to 5F is inserted into the gap 1A, is inclined downward in the interior of the hollow cylinder, brought into contact with liquid fertilizer and the other end is in contact with the absorbing sheet 4. The hollow cylinder 1 is equipped with balancing weights 6A and 6B which keep the hollow cylinder in equilibrium around the shafts 9A and 9B in feeding a fixed amount of the liquid fertilizer 8, rotate the hollow cylinder in the direction to lift the hollow cylinder 1 and maintain relative position between one end each of the capillaries and the water level of the liquid fertilizer unchanged when the amount of the liquid fertilizer is reduced by action of capillarity. |
