PURPOSE:To treat a variety of containers having each different dimension without carrying out the replacement of each constitution member, by holding the flat container by the processing head of a robot, releasing the container at ax release position, and processing the container so as to be normally erected through the reversal at a guide part. CONSTITUTION:In the transfer passage of the first transfer conveyor 2 for transferring a flat container 3 in a turned-down state, a CCD camera 14 for detecting the placed state of the container 3 is installed, and on the basis of the result of the detection, the container 3 is held by the vacuum head 23 of a robot 12, and the held container 3 is transferred on the second transfer conveyor 4, and the container 3 is released in the state where the center axis of the container 3 is parallel to the transfer direction of the second transfer conveyor 4. The container 13 after release is erected by a correcting means 13 so that the longer axis on the section in the direction crossing at right angle with the center axis of the container 13 is set in the direction crossing at right angle with the transfer direction of the second transfer conveyor 4. The correcting means 13 is constituted by installing a plurality buckets each of which has a U-shaped section, in an endless form.
