<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid which does not cause nozzle plugging, does not suffer from long-term change, is capable of stable long-time delivery and can perform high-quality recording by mixing a colorant with polyethylene glycol ether, an electrolyte and a liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:This fluid comprises at least either a dye or a pigment selected from among Yellow, Magenta, Cyan and Black, an electrolite in an amount to give a resistivity of 10-100OMEGA.cm and a liquid medium. In formula I, R is a group of formula II or III; m and m' are each 8 or 9; and n is 1-90. Although the amount of the polyethylene glycol alkyl phenyl ether represented by formula I or its derivative is suitably determined according to the kinds of other components, the required liquid substance, etc., it is usually 0.001-20 pts.wt. desirably 0.04-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. ink.</p> |
