PURPOSE:To permit the assembly of a large-sized shield machine at a low cost in a simple manner, facilitate the assembly by using the small-sized segments in a shield machine, and reduce the dimension of a propulsion jack and permit the efficient excavation in the state free of the unexcavated part. CONSTITUTION:As for a large-sized shield machine equipped with the inner and outer double scan plates 11a and 11b which are formed by connecting two unit excavating machines 6a having the upper and lower propulsion jacks 8, keeping an interval, an outer segment 10a and an inner segment 10b are assembled in a double form at the tail part of the unit excavating machine 6a, and the upper and lower propulsion jacks 8 are extended and contracted in accordance with the assembled inner segment 10a and the outer segment 10b. The unit excavating machine 6a is formed to a large-sized excavating machine for swinging a miscellaneous shaped cutter head 7 and a miscellaneous shaped cutter head 7 which is equipped with a swing mechanism and is formed by arranging two unit excavating machines 6a in parallel to form a a large-sized miscellaneous shaped cutter head, in the same direction. |
