PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin foamed article without removing remaining water by rapidly releasing pressure from a liquid acetate containing water trapped in it under pressure and heat or from a pressurized liquid biodegradable resin containing the acetate to carry out foaming by means of gasification expansion force of the released water. CONSTITUTION:A water-containing acetate or a biodegradable resin raw material 10 for producing a foamed article containing the water-containing acetate is charged from the hopper 11 into a cylinder 1 provided with a narrowed opening 1a at the front side. The charged material is delivered toward the narrowed opening 1a by a screw 2. During the delivery, the resin is heated to make it fluid. The pressurized liquid biodegradable resin is pushed out from the cylinder 1 into a forming space R in an air-permeable mold A placed in front of the cylinder 1. Since the pressure on the water trapping it in the fluidized resin in a heated pressurized atmosphere in the cylinder is rapidly removed, the resin is foamed by means of the gasification expansion force of the released water. Accordingly, the resin is formed into the shape of the mold A and the objective biodegradable resin foamed article is obtained without performing a treatment such as removing the remaining water and drying. |
