Facade material which is lightweight and has long life

The facade tile material has a hard foam plate (5) with a bonded plate or tile (7) at the leading side. The edges of the hard foam plate are covered by a frame (2) of metal profiles (3), adhesive bonded to the end sides of the hard foam plate (5). Pref. the metal profile (3) is of aluminium or fine steel, with an L-shaped cross section. One leg (3a) of the profile (3) covers one end side of the hard foam plate (5), and the second leg (3b) covers the outer edge of its reverse side. The joint (8) between the outer end sides of the tile (7) and the leading first leg (3a) of the profile (3) is filled with an adhesive and/or joint filler of or containing epoxy resin. The hard foam plate is pref. of polystyrene. The tile is of ceramic, plastics or glass.
