<p>The invention concerns a method for the drying of a water-consuming material in a power-plant process. The water-containing material to be dried is introduced into a pressurized dryer (10) and thermal energy is supplied for the drying of the water-containing material. The steam produced in the drying is, at least partly, passed along a separate duct as injection steam into the combustion unit (13) of a gas turbine (14). The invention also concerns a dryer used in the method.</p>
