Flywheel device with central drive connection

The flywheel has a pilot bearing (17) which serves on its inner diameter as a passage (18) for the fixing means (7) which connect the flywheel to the drive. Up to the fitting of the flywheel the pilot bearing interacts with a security fitting (22) for the fixing means. This security fitting which prevents loss of the parts prior to assembly can be formed by a cap (19) with flange (23) adjoining the inner diameter of the pilot bearing. The cap can have a stop (24) defining the depth of penetration into the pilot bearing. Where teething are provided for centring and torque transfer between drive and flywheel the pilot bearing can be formed with an axial stagger relative to the teething (10) but with approximately the same diameter area. Where the flywheel unit has a pre-centring device this pre-centring element (14) can be mounted in the extension area of the central attachment (3) where centring and torque transfer take place.
