摘要

Bis-styrylbenzenes of formula (I) are prepd. by reacting divinylbenzenes of formula (II) with benzene derivs. of formula A-X (III) in presence of a base and of a Pd (cpd.) catalyst forming labile Pd(0) cpds. under the reaction conditions, and opt. in presence of an inert organic diluent. A = mono- to penta-substd. phenyl (where the substits. are CN, COOH, 1-6C alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl, mono- or di-(1-6C) alkylcarbamoyl, 1-4C alkanoyl, 1-6C alkyl-sulphonyl, phenylsulphonyl, amino, mono- or di-(1-6C) alkylamino, NO2, halo, 1-6C alkoxy, opt. substd. phenoxy, 1-4C alkanoyloxy, hydroxysulphonyl, 1-6C alkoxysulphonyl, 1-6C alkyl or phenyl); X = COCl or COBr.
