摘要 The invention is a long-distance network, which does not require hierarchically organized, expensive equipment for the previous build-up and subsequent breaking of connections and ensures the permanent availability of transmission routes, independently of the degree to which transmission capacity is utilized. The arrangement proposed in this invention is characterized by comprising cable networks (4), each connecting a number of output devices (1), not far from each other, to an interface (2), and a two-dimensional, preferably hexagonal or square, switching field of net topology. In the interface units (2), to each of which output devices (1) are connected by a cable network (4), acoustic converters are connected, through a routing unit, a temporary information store and a time slot access unit, to a long-distance signal transmitter-receiver. The two-dimensional switching field of net topology contains nodal units (3) in which nodal units (3) long-distance signal transmitter-receivers are connected, through a time slot access unit, and a temporary information store, to a directional coupler controlled by an address decoder. The network may also contain an operation supervision unit (5) and/or an operation supervision and network data base (6), connected to the cable network (4).
