<p>Animals bearing an immortalizing gene together with one or more genes of interest, and cell lines capable of long term growth in vitro are described. Cell lines derived from F1 Immorto/Min mouse hybrid carry a defective Apc allele and are conditionally immortalized by virtue of an expression of a temperature sensitive SV40 large T antigen. These cell lines may further be transfected with other genes of interest such as the Ras oncogene to render them tumourigenic.</p> |
