The device is supplies with rinsing liq. to the guttering via at least one feed line. The gutter discharge outlet (2) or outflow (3) is fitted with a solids separator (6). Pref. the gutter is inclined towards the outlet, to which is coupled an outflow pipe. The rinsing liq. is fed to the gutter highest point (1a). The solids separator typically consists of a downpipe section, or a housing (7) fitted into the pipe, with a sieve grid (8) diagonally intersecting the flow axis as an inclined plane. Thus the housing is divided into inlet and outlet chambers (9,10).
