Electric through flow heater

The through flow electric heater has a simple star connection with a first set of switches (7, 8) in the first two arms and with a third switch (9) in the third arm. The first two switches are closed when a minimum water flow level is reached and the third switch is closed when a second, higher water flow is reached. Two of the arms each have two parallel heating elements (2, 3, 4, 5) with a manual switch (10, 11) in one of the branches. In the low flow setting the third arm is not connected and the manual selection provides a second, higher heating setting to the basic setting. In the high flow setting the two manual switches provide three settings depending on whether either or both switches are closed. Therefore a total of five heating settings are provided. The switches are simple rocker switches.
