The corner connection links the roof (1) and a side wall (2) of a transporting container. The roof and the side wall consist of two cover plates (3,5;4,6) and one supporting layer (7 or 8) of rigid foam between them. The corner connection has an external corner rail connected to the external cover plates (3,4) of the roof and side wall, or an edge strip (9) with internal corner rail (11). The supporting foam body is between the internal and external corner rails. The external corner rail or edge profile has a U-shaped cross-section, with the external shoulder (9a) continuing the web of the U-section at least at the plane of the external cover plate.
