The cooker comprises a boiling detective means (31) having judged the cooking to be in boiled state, and a time-controlling means (32) altering the heating at an M burner (13) to a weaker heating power than before the boiling. If, after the actuation of the time-controlling means (32), a detected temperature (Th) falls to show Th>TH-5 deg.C (given that the detected temperature at the time of the judgment of the boiling is an equilibrium temperature (TH)), a temperature- controlling means (34) keeps a temperature-controlling solenoid valve (133) open and keeps the combustion at the M burner (13) large until Th>=TH. If the detected temperature (Th) rises to show Th>=TH+10 deg.C, the temperature-controlling solenoid valve (133) is closed and the combustion at the M burner (13) is kept small until Th<TH+8 deg.C. The method enables efficiently cooking food in a manner of boiling it with addition of ingredients.
