Switching box for central venal catheter and pacemaker electrodes

The switching box is used as a positioning aid for positioning a central venal catheter or heart pacemaker electrode relative to the left or right heart ventricle, with switching between electrocardiogram or pacemaker signals. A connection is provided to an electrocardiogram monitor or pen recorder cable, for determining the intracardial electrocardiogram signals. The switching box is coupled via an electrode to the skin of the patient, with connections for a pacemaker battery and a pacemaker electrode, an incorporated circuit pref. allowing simultaneous representation of the surface electrocardiogram and transmission of pacemaker pulses from the battery.
