The incoming video signal is digitalised and each full picture is stored in a RAM (46) and the content compared with a transmitter recognition mask. When the transmitter is recognised, the typical mask is sought and a signal added to the reproducing equipment. During the interruption the RAM contents are compared and, if there is agreement, the actual television signal is switched to the reproducing part of the receiver.
