Membrane plate for filter presses comprising a stack of at least two adjacent plates (2, 4) delimiting together a filter chamber (10), a membrane (16) extending within said chamber and comprising a peripheral portion (18) engaging a peripheral groove (20) in the peripheral portion of said plate in the direction of the plate thickness, means for conveying the product to be filtered to one side of the membrane, means for conveying a fluid to the other side of said membrane and means for discharging the filtrate. The above-mentioned groove (20) comprises, at least on one portion of its length, an undercut part (36) for holding the peripheral part (18) of said membrane in said groove, thereby maintaining said membrane (16) on said plate (2). |
